For Businesses
Businesses, institutions, churches and medical facilities all play a role in protecting our local waterways. Check out these housekeeping tips for ways to reduce your contribution to stormwater pollution. You can also contact the GLRC to partner in educating your staff and customers on pollution prevention.
Regional Water Quality Surveys
The Greater Lansing Regional Committee for Stormwater Management (GLRC) conducted a water quality survey during the beginning of 2024. The purpose of the survey was to determine the effectiveness of regional environmental education campaigns, identify knowledge gaps, and help guide the GLRC's outreach activities moving forward. Over 600 residents responded from the Looking Glass River, Red Cedar River, and Grand River urbanized watersheds. This is the fourth statistically valid regional water quality survey conducted by the GLRC. Previous surveys were conducted in 2018, 2012, and 2006.
Final reports for each survey are located below. If you have questions or feedback, contact GLRC Coordinator Amanda Hathaway Frattarelli at ahathawayfrattarelli@mitcrpc.org.
